For the 50th anniversary of Davos Nordic, we wanted to do more than just celebrate – we wanted to make a statement. A statement for nature, which makes this sport possible in the first place.

Together with Suter Holzenergie, we heat our event tents with environmentally friendly pellet heating systems – sustainable, efficient and regional. This means that even the heat in the stadium contributes to climate protection.

But for us, sustainability doesn't stop at heating. For the anniversary, we purchased around 60 red fir seedlings. First, they served as natural decorations for the VIP tent – then they were donated to the Davos Forestry Commission to contribute to the reforestation of our forests. 🌲

And that's not all: together with our young cross-country skiers and today's top athletes, we are planting these seedlings directly into the Davos forest soil. In this way, we are combining a passion for sport with responsibility for the future.

After all, fir seedlings and cross-country skiing have a lot in common: both need patience, perseverance and the right environment to grow. Both stand for the future, sustainability and the conviction that great things can come from small beginnings.

This closes the circle: warmth from wood – and new roots for the future.

A big thank you goes to Suter Holzenergie for their reliable partnership and joint commitment to a sustainable event culture. 💚
